I have to say that I am very sickened to my core today as I ponder the outcome of the Casey Anthony trial. Well, not so much the outcome of the trial I guess, the more deeply disturbing thing for me at this time is the level of control we are under and the power the media (or Medes enchanters of old) have over the minds of people.
I wasn’t really going to pay any mind to this side show. Not because I don’t care, but because I knew it was just another way to keep people distracted and many children go missing everyday, many of which having strong evidence of government involvement. Then, about a week ago something hit me. I started to notice the media’s manipulation of the situation through editing sound bites and being way over opinionated and one sided. It seemed as though every “so called expert” all leaned toward the same conclusion and had Casey guilty from day one. This revelation really dawned on me when I kept hearing over and over how terrible Jose Baez was among many other things said about the man. I didn’t hear anyone disagreeing at all, and that’s when I knew something was up. There was only one news puppet, that I heard, being objective and actually making any sense. It seemed like everyone else already had Casey on death row before the trial even started. Geraldo was the only person that actually said exactly what I was thinking. After I noticed this thing seemed unusually lopsided, (because these ego maniacs on t.v. are always ready for a verbal battle and I saw none of that) I decided to start checking into things.
The Jose Baez Bashing
The very first thing that baffled me to no end was Jose Baez. I sat down in front of the hypno-vision and expected to see a man fumbling over his words (I believe someone actually said that he fumbled over his words?)and looking like a complete idiot. That’s why I was baffled. I saw something much different, it was like night and day. This was a guy that definitely looked like he knew exactly what he was doing and I could not figure out, after watching for a few days, were the media was getting these crazy and disturbingly delusional opinions of this defense attorney. So, I watched on, thinking maybe I was missing something, but the more I watched the more I grew more suspicious. Especially when I caught a few clips of Nancy Grace (which were very few, but enough to raise my suspicions further and make me ill. T.V. in general has this effect on me), and the ridiculous theories and one sided aspect to the whole act. There were absolutely no objectiveness on any show you turned to. But it’s amazing how many peoples minds were manipulated by this very tactic and no one caught on. Truly, truly disturbing.
